Kathleen Harward, Director and Attorney     

Kathy has practiced law since 1985, first in Los Angeles and then in the Fort Collins community. She’s been at CSU Student Legal Services since 2006. She obtained her law degree from the University of Nebraska and is licensed to practice in Colorado, California and Nebraska. She also has a masters’ degree in educational leadership from CSU and is convinced that the best kind of learning for people of all ages is through experience. She is a jack of all trades when it comes to civil law matters. Students know her to treat them with utmost respect and to do everything she possibly can to help them resolve their legal issues.    

 

Rob Lowrey, Staff Attorney                         

Rob, an attorney since 1994, joined CSU Student Legal Services during the ‘04-‘05 school year. He is licensed to practice law in Colorado, Connecticut, and Alaska.  Rob serves as Staff Legal Advisor to the ASCSU Supreme Court. Prior to CSU, Rob ran his own law office and was a Trial Attorney and Unit Supervisor with the Alaska Public Defender Agency in Bethel, Fairbanks, and Kodiak Island, Alaska. His natural curiosity and tendency to insist on preparation help him know where to look for answers to tough questions. Rob is a passionate counselor, teacher, and mentor. He ensures that everyone’s story is both heard and incorporated into the final result of a case.
 

Forrest Orswell, Staff Attorney                       

Forrest has practiced law in Colorado since 1998 and has been with CSU Student Legal Services since 2009.  He received his law degree from the University of Wyoming and undergraduate degree from the University of Northern Colorado.  He has extensive experience in criminal defense law and is well versed in many other legal areas.  When not helping students with their legal issues, Forrest can usually be found on his fishing boat or roaming the Colorado mountainside.  

 

Valerie McIntyre, Office Manager

Valerie is a Colorado native, a CSU alum and has been an employee of the University since 1989. She has been working in Student Legal Services since 2000 and finds her position very interesting with new issues and challenges coming through the door every day. She trains and supervises the student staff and is responsible for the accounting and day to day business tasks of the office.
